Over the past year anesthesiology has had several significant wins:
- Won trademark battle against the AANA for the title “anesthesiologist”.
- A 2.5% Medicare payment increase for 2026, after years of cuts
- Nearly 20 state bills to strip physician-led anesthesia care — defeated or amended
- Physician-led care preserved in the VA ; once again
- Anthem’s arbitrary anesthesia time-limit policy defeated, with four governors signing bans into law.
None of this happens without physician anesthesiologists funding the fight.
Today, ASAPAC is holding a one-day online drive, “Celebrate Your Voice,” and it comes with something new!
For the first time, donors now have the option to indicate a party preference. Utilizing this functionality, you can choose to indicate support to Democratic champions of anesthesiology, Republican champions, or no party preference (the default).
