The VSA POCUS course is not only created as an introduction to POCUS, but it also fulfils aspects of the ASA Certificate of Completion in POCUS. This is a separate program that is offered by the ASA. Here is more information about the ASA Certificate of Completion in POCUS: https://www.asahq.org/education-and-career/educational-and-cme-offerings/pocus
There are five distinct parts of this program. Any participant that completes the VSA POCUS course will fulfill Part 2: Evidence of Diagnostic POCUS Training: CME/NBE/Residency/Fellowship POCUS Training Documentation.
Regarding Case Logging
There is another part of the ASA certificate that has been difficult to complete for certain participants: Part 4: Image Acquisition Training. This part requires a mentor to review POCUS exams. Since some anesthesiologists struggle to have a mentor review their studies, the VSA POCUS course offers an additional option to have established ASA POCUS mentors review the studies. While not every participant will want this option, we offer this direct mentoring as an additional fee.
Diagnostic POCUS Certificate Program
Expand and define your diagnostic point-of-care ultrasound skills and validate your expertise for hospital credentialing and privileging committees. Earn CME with the ASA program created by anesthesiologists for anesthesiologists. |

We also have a Monitor article out that is a part of our ANES AMOC Monitor article series that they are welcome to link out to (though it is password protected and only available to members or Monitor purchasers). The Schedule at-a-Glance will be up on the website early next week as well and I can share that web link once available also. This would be another good page for state components to push to their members.
